I have thought about selling fresh-caught fish at a dock on Eagle Mountain Lake in Fort Worth, Texas. Is it illegal? Is it safe? Can I have some pointers? I plan to set up trotlines, boats, juglines, trolling, and bank casting with about 3 employees.

Hello I'm researching the charter boat/fishing charter business. I've been working in data processing for 10 years and I'm totally sick of it. I have some capital and I'm looking for someone interested in considering me as a partner or starting my own business. The problem is I don't have much experience in this business. I'm looking for someone with some experience in this field that could help me get started. I haven't noticed any fishing/charters in central ohio so mabey there is a market for this who knows? I'm wondering what you thoughts are?

Hello, my name is Ed Harp. I am the Ohio Tournament Director for Midwest Sportsman.
Midwest Sportsman is a national tournament circuit with divisions in most of the midwestern states. It is a Buddy Circuit. We run local divisions in these states with a national championship/classic. There is also a monthly magazine.
We are looking for Tournament Directors in Ohio. As a local Tournament Director you can run a Division in a number of ways: as an individual, with a sponsor such as a marina, tackle store, boat dealer or in connection with your local bass club.
In each Division 30% of the competitors plus the Director will qualify for the Championship which has a first prize of $25,000 cash. The director plus his partner qualify for the championship automatically and are paid 10% of the entries for their efforts. There are also sponsor incentives.
Payback is 70% at the ramp.
Divisions can be run in three ways: a 6 tournament format with an entry fee of $70, a 6 tournament format with an entry fee of $125 or as a 12 tournament format held on a weekly basis. Midwest Sportsman dues are $25 per year.
This is just a bare bones outline of the program. If you are interested in becoming a Director and running a Division contact me and I will send you a complete package with all the details.
If you are not interested but know someone who is please pass this along or let me know who they are and I will contact them direct.
Thank you for your time,
Ed Harp <email@example.com>
